Changsheng Xiang, Professor

Changsheng Xiang, a male, born in 1987, is a professor and doctoral supervisor with a Ph.D. degree. Dr. Xiang is a youth talent from the Recruitment Program of Global Experts, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Program of Jiangsu Province. He received his undergraduate degree from Shandong University, and his master’s and doctoral degrees from Rice University, USA. He used to work as a chemical engineer for Schlumberger Technology Group (USA), a Fortune 500 company and the world’s NO.1 oil service company. Currently, he works in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University, mainly engaging in the research and industrialization application of carbon nanomaterials, oil and gas field materials, and optoelectronic display materials.
Dr. Xiang has presided over scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shaanxi Key Project of Integration of “Two Chains”, and million horizontal projects. So far, he has published more than 20 papers in international top journals such as Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, etc. Five papers have been selected as ESI highly cited papers with more than 4000 SCI citations. He has also applied for more than 30 invention patents. The related patented technology has spawned 2 start-up companies and 15 new products. His research work has received positive feature reviews and interviews in authoritative journals and media such as C&EN, Materials Today, CNBC, and VOA. Besides, he also received the Harry B. Weiser Research Award from Rice University and the Be Outstanding Achievement Award of Schlumberger Technology Group.
