Prof. Feng Liu

Northwestern Polytechnical University

Prof. Feng Liu, male, born in 1974, is a Ph.D., professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Materials, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and a member of the Ninth National Committee of China Association for Science and Technology. Prof. Liu is a recipient of National Outstanding Youth Science Fund Award (2011), a Distinguished Professor of Yangtze River Scholar (2012) and a candidate for the National “ Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project” (2013). He is also a Chinese Youth Science &Technology Prize winner (2013) and a Young and Middle-aged Leader in Technological Innovation Talents (2014). As the person who enjoys the State Council Special Allowance (2015), Prof. Liu is termed the Leading Talent of Ten-Thousands Talents Program of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee (2016). Additionally, he has won the First Prize in Shaanxi Province Science &Technology Award (2011), and the Second Prize in National Natural Science Award (2019).

Prof. Liu is mainly engaged in structural material design, focusing on thermodynamics and dynamics. He has published over 300 SCI papers, including three review papers in Inter Mater Rev, an international Materials Reviews journal, and more than 40 papers in Acta Mater, an authoritative journal in materials science. He also holds the editorship of (JMST) and Progress in Natural Science.
