Prof. Qing Jiang
Qing Jiang, male, Doctor of Science, is Tang Au-Chin Distinguished Professor and Doctoral advisor in Jilin University. He is also the supervisor of Key Laboratory of Automobile Materials (Jilin University), Ministry of Education.
Professor Jiang got his Bachelor’s degree in 1982 and Master’s degree in 1984 in School of Materials Science and Engineering, Jilin University. In 1990, he earned his Doctorate of chemistry in Max Planck Institute for Iron Research (University of Stuttgart). From 1990 to 1992, he conducted postdoctoral research on physical and engineering sciences in the Technical University of Berlin. Jiang served as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering and Materials Science of the University of California Irvine in 1997, in the Institute of Nanotechnology, Karlsruhe Technology and Environmental Research Center, Germany in 2000, and in the Advanced Institute for Materials Research of Tohoku University in 2013. With his efforts, he won Special government allowances of the State Council in 1993, the Ministry of Education’s Fund supported by Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University in 1999 and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2000. He was selected as the First- and Second-Level Talents of the New Century National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project by the National Emblem of the People's Republic of China. Besides, he was designated as Distinguished Professor of Chang Jiang Scholars Program in 2001 and Fellow of the Institute of Physics in 2006. Currently, he is Member of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Engineering and Materials, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Director of China Society for Materials Research and Overseas Member of the Peer Review Society of the British Engineering and Science Research Council.
Professor Jiang carries out research on phase transition of low-dimensional materials and interface thermodynamics and kinetics of interface, and the size effect of low-dimensional material mechanics, heat, electricity, magnetism and other properties. Besides, he also conducted research on the storage and conversion of new energy materials. Jiang has published over 700 papers in such influential academic journals as Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Chemistry, Nature Communications, Joule, Matter, Chem and Advanced Materials. His papers have been cited more than 24,000 times by SCI, with an H factor of 79. In addition, he has been authorized more than 30 national invention patents, and won five provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards. Given his academic reputation, Springer and Higher Education Press has invited him to jointly publish a monograph "Thermodynamics of Materials". Meanwhile, he has written chapters in eight monographs and four manuals. Under the guidance of Professor Jiang, the doctoral students he taught won the award of the National Excellent Doctoral Thesis in 2010, and their papers were nominated for it in 2009 and 2012.
Xiangdong Ding, Professor

Xiangdong Ding, male, Doctor, was born in 1970. He is Professor and Doctoral Advisor of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Xi'an Jiaotong University. Besides, he is also Deputy Dean of the university. In 2015, he was selected as Distinguished Professor of Chang Jiang Scholars Program supported by the Ministry of Education.
Professor Ding undertakes multi-scale computational simulation and experimental research on the deformation and phase transition behavior of metallic materials. He has presided over 2 phases of the 973 project, and taken charge of the key research and development project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the major international cooperation project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Tao Suo, male from Baoji, Shaanxi, was born in 1979. He is professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Aeronautics of Northwestern Polytechnical University. Besides, he is also Deputy Director of the International Joint Research Center for Impact Dynamics and Engineering Application of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Impact Dynamics and Engineering Application of Shaanxi Province and Vice Chairman of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Society of Mechanics. As Vice Chairman of the Bird Strike Branch and Member of Structure and Strength Branch of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Suo is also Director of Nuclear Engineering Mechanics Branch of Chinese Nuclear Society, editorial board member of Acta Mechanica Sinica, Experimental Mechanics and Explosion and Shock, and invited young editorial board member of "Acta Aeronautica Sinica (Chinese and English Edition)" and "Journal of Solid Mechanics (English Edition)".
Majoring in aircraft design and engineering, Suo got his Bachelor's degree in 2002 in Northwestern Polytechnical University where he earned his Master's degree and Doctorate for solid mechanics in 2005 and 2009. In 2011, he was selected into the New Century Excellent Talents Program of the Ministry of Education. In 2015, he was approved for the Outstanding Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and was selected as the Young Scholar Program of the Yangtze River Award Program of the Ministry of Education. Besides, he was elected as a leading talent in science and technology innovation of Shaanxi Province Special Support Plan in 2018 and approved for the Outstanding Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2020.
Suo conducted research on analysis and design of dynamic strength of aircraft structure, impact dynamics experiment method of materials and structures, and mechanical behavior of advanced materials. He presided over more than 20 national projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, "863" and "973" projects. He published more than 100 academic papers and participated in the editing of four Chinese books. As for his awards, Suo obtained 3 authorized foreign invention patents, 18 Chinese invention patents and 2 independent software copyrights. He also won two first prizes and one second prize at the provincial and ministerial level and the 14th China Aeronautical Society Youth Science and Technology Award.
Xingyou Lang, Professor
Xingyou Lang. Born in 1979, Lang is a professor and PhD supervisor of Key Laboratary of Automobile Materials and School of Materials science and Engineering of Jilin University. He is a leading figure in a range of national initiatives such as the "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", the "Innovative Talent Development Plan", and the "Yangtze River Scholars Encouragement Plan", He has won funding from the Excellent Youth Foundation of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the honorary title of "Outstanding Talent in the New Century" granted by the Ministry of Education.
Lang obtained his bachelor's and PhD degrees from Jilin University in 2002 and 2007, respectively. From 2007 to 2009, sponsored by Japan Society for Promotion Science, Lang was engaged in joint research at Metallic Materials Research Institute at Tohoku University, Japan as a foreign research fellow (postdoctoral fellow); and in the following three years, Lang served as an assistant researcher and associate professor at Advanced Institute for Materials Research at Tohoku University, Japan. In July, 2011, he returned to China and joined Jilin University. Currently, Lang is on the editorial/advisory board of the journal Current Nanoscience, a standing director of Porous Materials Research Sub-society of Chinese Materials Research Society, an executive director of Materials Research Sub-society of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and the Automotive Materials Sub-society of China Society of Automotive Engineers.
Lang's research interests cover surface/interface science of mesoscopic materials, transformation thermodynamics and transformation kinetics, new-energy materials and instruments. In these years, Lang has been devoted to research on energy storage and transformation thermodynamic and kinetic features of new-energy materials and instruments, design, precision-preparation, and performance optimization of micro-nanostructures. He has published over 100 papers on high impact journals like Nature Nanotechnology and Nature Communications, and has authored two chapters for English books. His papers are been cited for 6200 times, with the highest citation of 1600 times. Lang also owns two patents in America and Japan, and four in China.
Jianni Liu, Professor
Jianni Liu, female, was born in 1978. She is Professor and Doctoral Advisor in Geology of Northwest University and Scholar of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Besides, as Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholars Program by the Ministry of Education, Liu is also selected as Young and Middle-Aged Science and Technology Leaders in the Ten Thousand Talents Program by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. In addition, she wins China Young Women Scientist Award and is honored as "the Bearer of Red Flag March 8".
Professor Liu conducts research on the Cambrian explosion of life and the origin and evolution of leafpods and related molting animals. She has systematically studied Cambrian leafpods, and discovered Hishimonoides Sellatifrons Ishihara. Besides, she has fostered her own research characteristics in the field of international Burgess shale-type leafpod fossils (the origin, evolution and differentiation of Cambrian leafpods), with a series of her findings and research results leading the pack in relevant fields. Professor Liu has presided over many projects including the first batch of young scientist thematic projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology "973 Program", the first "Top Young Talents Supporting Program" (Ten Thousand Talents Program), and the first National Natural Science Foundation of China "Excellent Youth". She has published 70 papers among which 55 papers were published in SCI journal. In these SCI papers, Liu was the first author or corresponding author of 25 papers, including NSR cover paper (2018), Proceeding B (2018), Nature Communications (2014), Nature cover paper (2011), Gondwana Research (2008) and other important international journals. Her research and findings have been cited and appraised positively by international peers. Besides, many of her research outcomes have been highlighted by several scientific research medias and organizations at home and abroad. Xifei Li, male, Doctor, was born in 1978. Li is Professor and Doctoral Advisor of Xi'an University of Technology. He was selected for the National Program for New Century Excellent Talents. Yuhua Qian, Professor
Yuhua Qian, male, Doctor, was born in 1976. He is professor, doctoral supervisor, and head of the Institute of Big Data Science and Industry of Shanxi University. He is also Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Computational Intelligence and Chinese Information Processing. In 2018, he was selected as one of Highly Cited Researchers. He conducted research on artificial intelligence, big data, data mining and machine learning. As for awards, Qian won the National Outstanding Youth Fund, and he was selected as Sanjin Scholars, top-notch creative talents for young and middle-aged people in Shanxi Province, New Century Talents of the Ministry of Education, Academic Technology Leader of Shanxi Province, senior expert contacted by the Provincial Party Committee and Young Academic Leader in Shanxi Province. Wei Liu, a male, born in 1982, is a professor and doctoral supervisor, and Jiangsu Distinguished Professor. Dr. Liu is one of the winners of the National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars, the winner of Jiangsu Outstanding Youth Fund, and one of the Jiangsu High-level Creative Talents. He is currently the Vice Dean of the School of Materials, Nanjing University of Science and Technology. Dr. Liu received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Jilin University in 2003 and 2009, respectively. From 2010 to 2014, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow and Humboldt Scholar at Max Planck in Germany. Zhimin Ao, Professor

Zhimin Ao, a male, born in 1981, is a doctor, professor and doctoral supervisor. He is a young talent introduced in the Recruitment Program of Global Experts and an associate professor of the “Hundred Talents Program” of Guangdong University of Technology. He graduated from Jilin University with a Ph.D. and currently works in the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Guangdong University of Technology, mainly engaging in the research of surface/interface adsorption, catalytic behavior and catalytic mechanism in the environmental pollution control process.

Hongfei Cheng, Professor
Hongfei Cheng, a male, born in 1983, is a doctor, professor and doctoral supervisor. Dr. Cheng is the Yangtze-River Young Scholar of Ministry of Education, Young Scholar of Shaanxi “Thousand Talents Program”, a new talent of the Beijing Nova Program, and Beijing Outstanding Young Talent. He is currently the Vice Dean of the College of Earth Sciences and Resources at Chang’an University. His research interest is the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources.
In 2011, he received his Ph.D. from China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). From 2009 ~ 2010, he had a Ph.D. joint training at Queensland University of Technology, Australia, and continued a visiting study at Northwestern University, the USA in 2017 ~ 2018. Dr. Cheng also won the China Coal Industry Science and Technology Award (Second Prize), Li Siguang Excellence Awards for Ph.D., Beijing Excellent Doctoral Thesis, Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education (Second Prize), Hebei Science and Technology Progress Award (First Prize) and Hou Defeng Young Scientist Award in Mineral and Rock Geochemistry.
Changsheng Xiang, Professor

Changsheng Xiang, a male, born in 1987, is a professor and doctoral supervisor with a Ph.D. degree. Dr. Xiang is a youth talent from the Recruitment Program of Global Experts, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Program of Jiangsu Province. Xinhong Hei, a male, born in 1976, is a doctor, professor and doctoral supervisor. Dr. Hei is the current Director of the Academic Affairs Office at Xi’an University of Technology. In 2008, Dr. Hei graduated with a Ph.D. in Information Science from Nihon University. He is a distinguished member of CCF, Executive Director of Shaanxi Computer Society as well as Shaanxi Computer Education Society. Yanping Chen, a female, born in 1979, is a doctor, professor and master supervisor. Dr. Chen is currently the Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science of Xi'an University of Posts & Telecommunications, and the leader of the Industrial Big Data Analysis and Intelligent Processing Innovation Team, a youth innovation team of Shaanxi universities. She is a postdoctoral Fellow of Control Science and Engineering Mobile Station, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and a Visiting Scholar of Iowa State University, USA.
In recent years, Dr. Chen has presided over and participated in more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial projects. She has published more than 50 research papers in important academic journals and famous international conferences at home and abroad. Her research interests include service computing, big data representation, data selection, and network management, etc. Now she is a senior member of the China Computer Federation (CCF), Chinese Institute of Electronics, and China Institute of Communications. Hongrui Cao, a male, born in 1982, is a professor and doctoral supervisor. Dr. Cao is a Humboldt Scholar, Germany, the recipient of Outstanding Youth Fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China (2019), the International Academy of Production Engineering (CIRP) Research Affiliate, and Shaanxi Young Science and Technology Talent. He is currently working at Xi'an Jiaotong University. He is the Executive Director of Rotor Dynamics Committee of Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering (CSVE), Director of Fault Diagnosis Committee, Executive Director of CSVE, a young editorial member of Journal of Vibration Engineering and Mechanical Science and Technology for Aerospace Engineering, the editorial member of International Journal of Mechatronics and Manufacturing Systems and Machines.
Dr. Cao has long been engaged in the research of failure mechanism analysis, fault diagnosis, and prediction of intelligent spindle rotor-bearing systems. He has presided over 10 projects, including one National Key Research and Development Program project, 4 National Natural Science Foundation Projects, and other projects such as major special projects and general assembly pre-research. In 2020, he won the Shaanxi Higher Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award First Class Award (Science and Technology) (the first finisher). In addition, he has published more than 80 journals and conference papers, including more than 50 SCI-indexed papers (more than 2,300 SCI citations), four of which were selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers, and one of which was selected as one of the top academic papers in Outstanding S&T Journals of China. He also won the Best Paper Award (2019) of Int J Mach Tool Manu Journal, an authoritative journal in the field of mechanical engineering and received 5 awards for outstanding papers from the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering, and Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Jianghua Shen, Professor

Jianghua Shen, a male, born in 1985, is a doctor, professor, and doctoral supervisor. In 2019, Dr. Shen was selected for National High-Level Young Talent Project. Currently, he is working in the School of Aeronautics of Northwestern Polytechnical University. In 2015, he received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and another Ph.D. in Solid Mechanics from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2016. From 2015 to 2018, he served as a post-doctoral researcher and special-appointed associate professor at the Joining and Welding Research Institute of Osaka University.
Dr. Shen is engaging in research work in the fields of powder metallurgical preparation of advanced structural materials, structural lightweight design, and structural/material impact failure, including damage failure, fracture, and failure mechanism of light alloys such as titanium, aluminum, and magnesium under extreme environments. So far, he has published more than 30 SCI papers, participated in or presided over 3 key R&D projects at national and provincial levels. He has won the Outstanding Young Scholar in Explosive Mechanics of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and the Young Science and Technology Award of the Shaanxi Society of Aeronautics, etc. He also serves as the young editorial board member of the Journal of Modern Applied Physics.
Prof. Feng Liu

Prof. Feng Liu, male, born in 1974, is a Ph.D., professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Materials, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and a member of the Ninth National Committee of China Association for Science and Technology. Prof. Liu is a recipient of National Outstanding Youth Science Fund Award (2011), a Distinguished Professor of Yangtze River Scholar (2012) and a candidate for the National “ Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project” (2013). He is also a Chinese Youth Science &Technology Prize winner (2013) and a Young and Middle-aged Leader in Technological Innovation Talents (2014). As the person who enjoys the State Council Special Allowance (2015), Prof. Liu is termed the Leading Talent of Ten-Thousands Talents Program of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee (2016). Additionally, he has won the First Prize in Shaanxi Province Science &Technology Award (2011), and the Second Prize in National Natural Science Award (2019).
Prof. Liu is mainly engaged in structural material design, focusing on thermodynamics and dynamics. Prof. Gang Liu

Prof. Gang Liu, male, born in 1975, is a Ph.D., professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Material Science and Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Deputy Director of State Key Laboratory For Mechanical Behavior Of Materials. Prof. Liu is a recipient of National Outstanding Youth Science Fund Award (2016), a Distinguished Professor of Yangtze River Scholar (2016), the Leading Talent of Ten-Thousands Talents Program of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee (2017) and a Young and Middle-aged Leader in Technological Innovation Talents (2015). Prof. Liu is currently engaged in the research on the strengthening and toughing, deformation and fracture of metallic materials strengthening. By far, he has published over 200 SCI papers, his papers cited by SCI for more than 5,000 times. Chengtun Qu, a second-tier professor and head of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Xi'an Shiyou University, has been selected into the National “Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project,” and won the honorary title of “Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions.” Prof. Qu is the person who enjoys the State Council Special Allowance and an expert with outstanding contributions in Shaanxi Province. He is currently head of Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Environmental Pollution Control Technology and Reservoir Protection of Oil and Gas Fields, Director and an expert of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, Deputy Director of the Petroleum Protection Professional Committee of China Petroleum Society, Executive Director of Shaanxi Environmental Society and Shaanxi Chemical Industry and Engineering Society, and Director of Shaanxi Chemical Society. Prof. Qu was also termed "National Excellent Scientific and Technological Worker" and won the Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Award (Innovation Prize) and the Chinese Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation Award.
Prof. Qu has long been engaged in the teaching of environmental science and engineering and the scientific research on environmental pollution control technology in oil and gas fields. He has published six textbooks and monographs, such as Oily Sewage Treatment Technology in Oil-gas Fields and Oily Sludge Treatment Technology in Oil-gas Fields. He has chaired and participated in over ten projects including the projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Science and Technology Support Program, National Key Special Project, and other provincial and ministerial-level projects. In addition, he has completed more than 40 school-enterprise cooperation projects. His achievements of research on oily sewage and sludge treatment have been successfully applied in over ten oilfields such as Changqing Oilfield, Yanchang Oilfield and Tarim Oilfield. Prof. Qu has won one Second Prize in National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, three first prizes and four second prizes in provincial and ministerial-level awards. Moreover, he has been authorized 21 national patents and 29 utility model patents, and published more than 1,620 papers in Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, Environmental Science: An Indian Journal, Oilfield Chemistry and other journals, with 50-plus papers being included in SCI and EI.
